For those new to the series, Yokai Watch is a role-playing game that combines elements of adventure, strategy, and monster collecting. Players take on the role of Keita (or Nate in some regions), a young boy who receives a special watch from a mysterious figure named Professor Oage. This watch allows Keita to see and befriend yokai, supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore.
