Yep10 Games

Using dual-task paradigms, we measured the cognitive load of yep10 games against chess puzzles and first-person shooters. Results (n=120) indicated that yep10 games occupy a unique position: (no need to recall past moves) but extremely high perceptual load (requires continuous monitoring of rapidly changing stimuli). This makes yep10 games ideal for "in-between" moments—waiting for a bus, standing in a queue—where cognitive residue from prior tasks is minimal.
