Symantec Ghost (General Hardware-Oriented System Transfer) was for decades the gold standard for disk cloning. It allows IT administrators to create a "snapshot" (image) of a computer's hard drive. This image can then be deployed to multiple other computers simultaneously, drastically reducing the time required to set up new machines or restore broken ones.
