Stylus RMX is a 32-bit or older 64-bit plugin. On macOS Catalina and newer, Apple dropped support for 32-bit code. The plugin may launch but fail to generate a correct Challenge Code due to compatibility layers. Solution: Use a DAW in Rosetta 2 mode (for M1/M2 Macs) or run an older macOS version via a virtual machine (like Parallels). Spectrasonics has no plans to update Stylus RMX, so consider using Stylus RMX Xpanded or migrating to Omnisphere 2 (which includes many Stylus RMX samples).
