In a genre filled with forgettable clones, this series—and its superior OVA follow-up—proves that sometimes, all an isekai needs to stand out is to stop trying to save the world and start trying to survive the night.
The animation by Magic Bus is serviceable, but not particularly impressive. The character designs are standard and the backgrounds are somewhat generic. The music and sound effects are also fairly standard for an anime of this type.
