The waste ink pads are inside the printer (under the carriage). If they are truly full, resetting the counter without cleaning them will eventually cause ink to leak inside your printer, possibly ruining the logic board or power supply.

Technically unlimited. But after 3–4 resets, the pads overflow. Install an external waste tank first.
