Play with headphones. The sound design is oppressive: branches snapping behind you, whispers from the darkness, and a haunting original score by Petri Alanko. The licensed tracks (Poe’s “This Road” and an Old Gods of Asgard return) are perfectly placed. Voice acting is superb—especially Matthew Porretta (Alan) and Melanie Liburd (Saga).
